Verified Load Capacity of the FMPP45 Pipe Pile System
FMPP45 Pipe Pile System capacity is established by engineer-defined refusal criteria using a controlled driving sequence. The FMPP45 Pipe Pile System is intended for projects requiring high axial capacity, dependable settlement control, and installation verification through monitored driving resistance.
*Always follow project-specific geotechnical recommendations and engineering criteria.
FMPP45 Pipe Pile System Material Specifications
Steel Pipe Pile
- 4.5″ O.D. Schedule 40 steel pipe
- ASTM A252 Grade 2 steel (or approved equal)
- 7′ sections (typ.)
- Internal mechanical couplers for concentric butt-joint splicing
- Welded splices or longer solid sections recommended in weak or loose soils
Installation Method
The FMPP45 Pipe Pile System uses a controlled two-stage driving sequence for installation and acceptance.
Stage 1: Pneumatic hammer for initial advancement while monitoring resistance buildup.
Stage 2: Drop hammer to final refusal for precise capacity verification per engineer-defined blow-count criteria.
When specified, vibration monitoring can be included in the contract.

FMPP45 Pipe Pile Installation Notes
- Pipe piles are typically installed by pneumatic hammer in 7′ sections using internal couplers.
- Up to 30′ solid welded pipe sections may be used in weak or loose soils where project conditions warrant.
- The FMPP45 Pipe Pile System is installed to engineer-required refusal criteria with verified driving resistance.
- This driven pile system is intended for heavy structural support applications where settlement control and axial load performance are critical.
Heavy Structural Applications
The FMPP45 Pipe Pile System is suited for demanding structural work where higher working loads, deeper support, and dependable refusal verification are required. Common applications include heavily loaded foundations, structural underpinning, commercial support systems, industrial structures, and projects involving difficult access or challenging subsurface conditions.
